Independent financial advice for Pinner and the surrounding area

Kingsmarque Wealth Management provides independent financial advice to individuals, families and business owners living in Pinner and across north-west London. We are not tied to any single provider, product or fund house, which means the recommendations we make are shaped by your circumstances rather than by anyone else’s product range.

Our registered office is in Covent Garden, but a large part of our client base sits along the Metropolitan line corridor. We meet clients at home, at our London office, or by video call, whichever suits you.

Why Pinner households often need advice

Pinner has a particular financial profile: high levels of owner-occupation, substantial property values relative to the national picture, and a significant number of residents at or approaching retirement. That combination raises a few issues more often here than elsewhere.

Inheritance tax

Inheritance tax is no longer a concern reserved for the very wealthy. In an area where property values form the bulk of most estates, homeowners who would never describe themselves as rich can still leave a taxable estate, often without realising it. We look at the whole picture, including the residence nil-rate band, gifting, trusts and life cover written into trust, and explain in plain terms what is and is not worth doing.

The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate estate planning, tax planning or most forms of trust advice. Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and may change in the future.

Pensions and retirement income

Many Pinner residents have built up a mixture of workplace schemes across a career in central London: some defined benefit, some defined contribution, some long since forgotten. We help you understand what you actually hold, whether consolidating makes sense, and how to turn those pots into a sustainable income. Where a defined benefit transfer is under consideration, we will tell you honestly when staying put is the better answer.

The value of a pension and the income it produces can fall as well as rise, and is not guaranteed. Transferring out of a defined benefit scheme is unlikely to be in the best interests of most people.

Investments and savings

Cash held on deposit feels safe, but over long periods inflation erodes its buying power. We help you decide how much to keep accessible and how much to invest, using ISAs and other tax-efficient wrappers, with a level of risk you are genuinely comfortable holding through a downturn.

The value of investments and the income from them can fall as well as rise. You may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a guide to future performance.

Mortgages and protection

Whether you are remortgaging, moving within HA5, buying a second property or helping a child onto the ladder, we can advise on the borrowing alongside the wider financial plan, and make sure the protection underneath it actually reflects your commitments.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. Some forms of buy-to-let and commercial lending are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Areas we cover

As well as Pinner itself, we regularly work with clients in Hatch End, Eastcote, Northwood Hills, Rayners Lane, North Harrow, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Stanmore, Ruislip, Northwood and the surrounding Middlesex and north-west London area.

How we work

The first conversation is at our cost and carries no obligation. It exists so that both sides can work out whether there is something useful to be done. If there is, we will set out clearly what we would charge and what you would get for it before you commit to anything. If there isn’t, we will say so.

Common questions

Do I need to come to your office?

No. We can meet at your home in Pinner, at our Covent Garden office, or by video call.

What does independent actually mean?

It means we can consider products from across the whole of the relevant market rather than a restricted panel, and that we are required to recommend what is suitable for you.

How much do you charge?

Charges depend on the complexity of the work. We will always tell you the cost in writing, in pounds and pence, before any work begins.

Is it worth speaking to you if my finances are fairly simple?

Often, yes. Straightforward situations are frequently the ones where a small change makes the biggest difference. The initial conversation will establish whether that is the case for you.

Speak to an adviser

If you would like to discuss your position with an independent adviser, get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
